We believe homeschooling is a viable option for some students in our community and we hope our flexible schedule and non-intrusive enrollment requirements will meet your needs.

We respect your choice to be the primary educator for your children.  Our offer is part of Niles Community Schools' vision to support the learning of every student residing in our district.  Extending our educational support beyond the school walls and into our community is a small part of a larger plan to develop and grow Niles into a vibrant and viable community.

To take advantage of this opportunity, students must select one of two criteria.

Criteria I - Grades 1-12 - A minimum of one seated class and a Virtual course entitled "2013/2014 Partnership Resources" is requires.  You may then choose up to 2 "Community Resource Courses" (CR), 2 "Virtual Courses" and/or other "Seated Courses" as long as your total does not exceed 6.

Criteria II - Grades 6-12 - A Virtual course entitled "2013/2014 Partnership Resources" is required.  You may then choose a combination of "Community Resource Courses" (CR), "Seated Courses", and Virtual Courses" until a cap of 6 has been reached.  Students who elect this Criteria will be require to meet the Seat-waiver Guidelines

Seated courses are courses that take place on Niles Community Schools' property.

Virtual
courses are courses that a student accesses through a computer at home or on the school premises.

Community Resource
